General Travel Advice
There are currently no restrictions imposed on departures from Singapore. However, travellers must abide by the entry requirements imposed by the countries you are travelling to.
You are advised to check with the authorities of your destination on the travel restrictions and entry requirements imposed on travellers departing from Singapore. You may also refer to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for details on travel restrictions and requirements sorted by destination.
Immigration Processes at the Checkpoints
- Familiarise yourself with the Checkpoint's clearance procedures, including whether you are eligible for automated clearance.
- You are required to present your biometrics (e.g. fingerprints, facial and iris) during immigration clearance. Travellers who fail to comply may be denied future entry into Singapore.
- Travellers departing by car and motorcycle via Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints can use QR code for immigration clearance.
- Travellers departing via a Singapore-registered vehicle must adhere to the Singapore Customs' Three-Quarter Tank Rule.
CBNI declaration Requirement
- Make a Physical Currency and Bearer Negotiable Instrument (CBNI) declaration if you are departing Singapore carrying a total value of CBNI exceeding S$20,000 (or its equivalent in a foreign currency). For more information on CBNI declaration, refer to Taking Cash In and Out of Singapore.
