A valid Re-Entry Permit (REP) is needed each time a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) travels abroad. The REP allows you to retain his/her Singapore PR status while he/she is outside Singapore. If the Singapore PR leave Singapore or remain overseas without a valid REP, he/she will lose his/her Singapore PR status.

All Singapore permanent residents can login to the [e-Service](https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/esvclandingpage/erep) using your Singpass for Re-Entry Permit (REP) renewal or REP transfer.
If you are overseas and do not have a Singpass, you may apply for your REP at the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission.
If you are overseas and your REP has expired, you can login to the [e-Service](https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/esvclandingpage/erep) using your Singpass to submit an online application for reinstatement of PR.
